At first glance, this might seem like an innocuous tweet from quarterback Michael Vick celebrating the coming release of Madden 15. But IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid, and Giant Bomb take note– there is more here than meets the eye. For you see, while Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo (hah!) have been battling it out for next-gen supremacy, this single tweet has ended the console war.
Thanks to Michael Vick, it has been confirmed that the best way, the NFL-approved way, the only true way to have the next-gen Madden experience is on your ten-year-old Xbox 360, provided you have bought a Kinect. Upon hearing this news, Sony has announced it would officially exit the video game industry and focus on selling Smart TVs, while Nintendo accepted a buyout offer by King, makers of Candy Crush Saga. Microsoft is currently rolling out a buyback offer for people who have bought Xbox Ones in the past year, thanks to the fact that it is not Michael Vick’s console of choice.
