Winning a Super Bowl couldn’t mellow bonecrusher Bernard Pollard. Of course it couldn’t. Because triumph on the football field is only one part of Pollard’s purpose in life. No matter how many titles he wins, there’s always gonna be the need for killing. Sweet, sweet killing.
Written in marker on a piece of white paper and taped in [Pollard’s] locker at Baptist Sports Park:
Goal — Super Bowl
Mission — Kill!!!
That’s a mission I feel confident Pollard can carry out. I will say I’m kind of disappointed that the message is written on paper. It’s so much more convincing with blood.
“Our goal is the Super Bowl, and our mission is to kill,” said Pollard, pointing to his handwritten note. “And if someone doesn’t like it, then who cares? I really couldn’t care less. It is not our responsibility to make anyone else happy, to please you, to care about you.
Again, I can’t say enough how upset I am that the Titans don’t play the Patriots this season. There are still plenty of New England players he has yet to maim.
