Ben Roethlisberger is leaving London in a lot worse shape than he arrived in after the Vikings hammered away at him all game as the Steelers fell to 0-4. (No, CBS, I was not going to stoop to your level with a “bell rung” quip.) USA Today reports that Roethlisberger “struggled to put on socks after today’s game.” While Big Ben’s cognitive ability would be questionable any time, game or not, Tom Pilissero indicated that the QB had a pretty banged up knee.
Oh, and there’s also this big hit he took on the final series that wouldn’t shock me if it resulted in a concussion. Of course, that’s merely baseless speculation based on one replay which never, ever happens in NFL broadcast booths. And in his post-game press conference, Big Ben was still able to come up with poetic metaphors to describe the Steelers situation right now.
Ben Roethlisberger: "We are in uncharted territory. And the water is dangerous right now." (Steelers haven't been 0-4 in 45 years)
