The whole country will be in a rush to ditch this game once the “Breaking Bad” finale starts. But maybe I’m just underestimating how convincing Julian Edelman’s pleas are on Twitter.

The Patriots get their first thing resembling a test this season after coasting to three wins over Buffalo, the Jets and Tampa Bay. The Falcons, while certainly more talented than any of those teams, find themselves among them in the standings at a 1-2 record. Atlanta in a desperation game at home would at least seem to provide a much tougher challenge.

Plenty of skill players missing for tonight. Fantastic shirt wearer Jacquizz Rodgers gets the start for the injured Steven Jackson. Gronk and Danny Amendola didn’t make the trip to Atlanta, so Tom Brady will be forced to rely on the contingent of receivers he openly berated on national television two weeks ago.
