Our weekly KILL KILL KILL feature typically includes video footage of deadly animal savagery, but still photography can make a suitable substitute, especially when it’s this detailed and disturbing. A couple French wildlife photographers captured images of a baby gazelle trying to cross the crocodile-infested waters of the Kenyan Mara River. Suffice it to say, the gazelle’s tactic of attempting to leapfrog the crocs was not the soundest strategy.
Aaaaand noooooope. Aw, so sad. That’s why they measure gazelle vertical at the combine.
This is how you know it’s a baby gazelle. A veteran runner would have been able to gain more after first contact.
I suppose some credit is due to the gazelle that this isn’t the last shot in the series. Because this looks about where it should end.
Nice to see that crocodiles subscribe to the “Ain’t no fun if the homies can’t get none” credo.
And it looks like we’re done here. Hopefully baby gazelle gets reincarnated into a creature that uses bridges.
