A former high school football player hailing from New Mexico on Tuesday strolled into a Browns practice hoping to get a tryout with the team. Though he was removed from the premises without incident, perhaps the team will try to do a little better about keeping interlopers out in the future.
The unidentified man walked onto the field at the team’s training headquarters on Tuesday with an equipment bag strapped to his back as the Browns worked out. A team spokesman said the man was quickly spotted and escorted from the field through the media gate without incident.
The team believes the man, who appeared to be in his mid-20s, entered the field after walking through the team’s indoor field house.
Just that easy! Goes to show all those members of the national media who complained that they were banned from the Browns’ rookie minicamp. They could have just showed up anyway and the team would have been none the wiser.
