Like Matt Schaub during the Sunday night game, Philip Rivers started off the Sunday late late night game with an interception on the opening possession of the game. The nicest thing you could say about this Marmalard floatception is that it wasn’t returned for a touchdown. Beyond that, it’s terrifically awful. Rivers experienced absolutely no pressure from the defense on the play and still overthrew his receiver by 10 yards. Dan Fouts even said seriously that Rivers had “too much time” to throw. Which is just great. If anything defenses are better not blitzing anyone and just sitting back and waiting for Rivers to give them the ball.
