Matt Jones Had A Second Personality Named Rodney

Matt Jones is best known to NFL fans as the former college quarterback who the Jaguars drafted in the first round in 2005 with the intention of turning into a receiver. Suffice it to say, that didn’t exactly work out as planned. Therefore, Matt Jones’ lasting NFL legacy remains both being another embarrassing moment in Jags history and contributing a noteworthy moment in the history of players wearing a wifebeater to a press conference. Oh, and a cocaine possession arrest.

Anyway, here is Houston Nutt, who coached Jones at Arkansas, sharing the story of how Matt Jones created a second personality named “Rodney” that he used to… well, I’m sure exactly what the point of Rodney was, but it makes Jones sound like a sociopath. Either way, I figure scouts at the combine will now demand that players list all additional personalities and their names during interviews.
