The usually sloppy Pro Bowl could be even messier than usual as Honolulu is under a flood warning with heavy rain showers due to move through the area at kickoff. So much for playing harder this year.
Rain isn’t even the biggest problem players have encountered in Hawaii this weekend. Washington tackle Trent Williams required stitches early Friday morning after being hit over the head with a bottle of champagne at a local nightclub when an altercation broke out at a party hosted by artist 2 Chainz. The league promptly warned players to stay away from M Nightclub after it was learned twenty to thirty players had attended the same party as Williams. The Vikings Matt Kalil will start in place of Williams who will reportedly still be considered a member of the Pro Bowl squad and receive a full share of the game bonus.
Bad weather? Fights? Who says we need to fix the Pro Bowl anyway? Sounds like a typical football game to me.
UPDATE: As is our typical luck, just as we hit publish on this post it was announced the the Pro Bowl kickoff time will be delayed thirty minutes to allow the rain to pass through.
