Hmmmm… this screenshot from 30FPS doesn’t seem quite right.
Ah! Here we go:
De Smith was heard humming this tune to himself:
DE SMITH, Y U NO APPROVE CBA RITE AWAY?
That pic is primed for a pop-up GIF.
Shit, DeMaurice, get it together!
LOL FANS, U MAD?
@edgecrusher, from edgecrusher:

Just wait for the nightmare fuel treatment. Or perhaps mouth-eyes.
MORT, YOU ABOUT TO GET GOT! Howard Bryant is a Little Jimmy.
Mort ’bout to get okeydoked
IT’S A CONSPIRACY BY LITTLE JIMMY AND LITTLE ROGER
Pfft, nothing a nice bottle of Riunite can’t fix.
Fuck you players, get your shit together and approve this fucking thing.
@Enrico – BETTA BE NO SPIDERS IN DA CBA
Can someone do a Fun with Peter King today? Maybe Ape can do it since Ape is at Comic-Con. His column today is just atrocious and prime for ridicule!
BTW, putting a timeline on re-certification is not only a dirty trick to undercut the player’s leverage in the future, it is illegal. Don’t blame the players for what happened yesterday. This will not get approved and the owners will need to re-vote.
fFuck! I meant to type Drew is at Comic-con!
GAAAHHHH!!!! I just can’t get into baseball..
@Caveman: The fans just want me to be a GOOD DE SMITH
Unlike (what seems to be) the majority of our Kommentariat, I’m not a lawyer. That said, the terms of this agreement seem pretty good, given my limited understanding of big numbers. I realize that the link above is based on information released by the NFL itself, and so is likely skewed to make it look like a sweet deal for the players. Still, anyone see a potential screwing I’m missing there?
I wondered the same thing, as apparently the deal was agreed to in principle. I then read this earlier today, from CSN’s Matt Maiocco (Niner beat writer):
“”The clubs approved an agreement that was negotiated with the players this afternoon,” Goodell began.
Then, he dropped the bombshell.
“In addition to approving that agreement, we also approved a supplemental revenue-sharing system for the next 10 years,” Goodell said.
So he spelled it out. The “agreement” was negotiated with the players. “In addition,” he said, the owners approved a supplemental revenue-sharing system. Goodell did not say that this system was negotiated with the players.
And, predictably, the players later expressed surprise with that addition to the proposal that the owners ratified.
NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith, in an email obtained by multiple media outlets, wrote to the board of player representatives: “As you may have heard, they apparently approved a supplemental revenue sharing proposal. Obviously, we have not been a part of those discussions.””
Introduce something into the CBA after it’s been agreed upon, then try to force it down the players’ throats using public pressure. Classy.
Now the players’ side needs to review the entire god damn CBA again to make sure the owners didn’t slip anything else in there, as well as to find out wtf ‘supplemental revenue sharing’ is…
Get your legal jargon out of my troll post!
When you see it you’ll shit bricks!
Can we just get this season started already. Al Davis and Ralph Wilson aren’t getting any younger.
Rumor is that the owners snuck some other stuff in there that was not negotiated in “addition” to what @shootme said.
Can you see see 2207 things that might go wrong with this battle of the forums?
FUCK YOU I’M STUDYING FOR THE BAR RIGHT NOW AND I CAME HERE FOR A BREAK FROM CONTRACTS FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU NEITHER OF THEM ARE MERCHANTS ANYWAY AND THIS ISN’T A SALE OF GOODS CONSIDER YOUR ISSUES SPOTTED, BITCH
I’m about to kill myself, too.
lol u mort bro
This site is popular among the sports stations of Atlanta AM. Heard a reference to ” ladies of the night ” and the owners (specifically JERRAL) as well as Richardson wearing………….drum roll…… a Seer sucker suit.
Are you fekking kidding me? Weather aside (it’s hot as ballz down here as you might imagine), didn’t Seer Suckers go out like 45 years ago? (About the time of the Civil RIghts bill).
Heard some interviews with the owners. My impression:
JERRAL: MAster of talking ad infinitum but saying (and committing to) nothing
Polian: Seemed like a decent guy.
Blank: Gets a pass because he’s the owner of the Falcons and the locals don’t dare ask a tough question or they end up in a Home Depot Wood CHipper.
Looking like DeSmith’s reactuan may have been overblown. If this article is lying, it may be time to start shooting.
