No matter what plays out over the next three weeks, the Seahawks will always be Super Bowl XLVIII champions according to one Washington man’s arm. He didn’t wait for the Seattle to get home field advantage in the playoff or win their first postseason game. He had the ink done back in September.
At the beginning of the season, Tim Connors felt so confident the Seahawks would win the Super Bowl this year he got a tattoo on his right forearm that already declared the Seahawks as champs.
More importantly, though, is he crazy? He’s crazy, isn’t he?
“I’m not crazy. I’m not crazy at all,” Connors said.
Connors says 95 percent of ‘Hawks fans approve of his tattoo.
LEGIT PERCENT FELLOW FAN APPROVAL. The rest think he’s invoking a jinx, so if you believe in that sort of thing, Seahawks fans have Tim Connors to blame should they lose either on Sunday or two weeks later in MetLife Stadium.
This sort of thing isn’t unprecedented, nor is the humiliation of having a predictive tattoo turn out to be wrong. A Texans fan had that happen to him two years ago.
But don’t laugh at him too hard. Fictional championships are about all Houston has to go on these days.
