For the first time in his career, Tony Romo won his final game of the season. Of course, that will have to be a come-from-behind Week 16 game against a three-win Redskins team. That’s because Romo has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a back injury sustained in Sunday’s game in Washington.
In his place against the Eagles for the right to go to the playoffs: the man once known as the Neckbeard:
Well, there was that year that Orton was the quarterback of a Chiefs team that handed Green Bay its only loss of the regular season. Beyond that, don’t have much in the way of consolation for you, Cowboys fans. Also, Dallas has no other backup or practice squad quarterbacks, so the Tebow talk has already started to bubble up.
Anyway, I bet NBC is really glad that they flexed the NFC East title game instead of Packers-Bears.
