Against the better judgment of probably everyone, Terrell Suggs appears ready to make his season debut this afternoon in Houston, where the only two AFC teams above .500 square off for the right to be considered the weak conference favorite for the remainder of the regular season.

Reports say that the Ravens had wanted to ease Suggs back onto the field over the course of several weeks, perhaps starting after the team’s bye next week, but apparently coaches are too afraid of P-Drizzle’s freakish alien mouth to take a stand against his wishes. For what it’s worth, it doesn’t look like he’s worked out since the basketball court took him out back in the spring. Rest easy, Ravens fans, your best corner might be gone for the season, but there’s a 300-pound tweener linebacker here to play a few snaps and get winded trying to chase down Arian Foster. But Adrian Peterson hurried back from injury and he’s been fine, so what the hey.

Meanwhile, announcers will continue to be amazed that the Ravens offense has surpassed its defense and that J.J. Watt can deflect passes real good.
