Tian Tian, one of the giant pandas at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC, stole our hearts yesterday when he woke up to a world of puffy white stuff that they don’t often get in that quantity in the Mid-Atlantic. One month into the year, his adorable roll in the snow is already one of the cutest animal moments of 2016. Watching that video every time you come back in from shoveling yourself out of three feet of snow is a surefire way to heat yourself back up with nothing but the warm fuzzies.

That was yesterday though, today is a new day. Today, the world is challenging Tian Tian the panda to a snow battle. And by “the world,” we of course mean some random guy who thought it was a good idea to go have a roll in the snow in a panda costume and out-cute Tian Tian.

Jeffrey Perez from Millersville, Maryland ventured out in the piles of snow in the panda suit he apparently just had laying around and had a romp for himself. Based on his Instagram photos, this isn’t the first time he’s gone out in public and posed in the costume, but it’s probably the first time he’s challenged an animal who can’t comprehend the gesture to a “snow challenge.” The chances of getting a response from the National Zoo is slim to none, but at least Perez got to be a part of all the ridiculous snow activities that everyone in the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast took part in this weekend.
