This Woman Made The Most Amazing Wedding Dress Out Of Taco Bell Burrito Wrappers

When Taco Bell recently launched a chapel at the Taco Bell Cantina in Vegas, it made the dreams of everyone who’s ever wanted to get married inside a luxurious chain restaurant. Scores of people are excited about the prospect, but no one is putting the raw romance of Taco Bell into action like Diane Nguyen, who crafted an entire wedding gown out of burrito wrappers (all Project-Runway-unconventional-materials-style) in the hopes of becoming the first woman to say “I do” inside the new wedding facility.

The Taco Bell Love and Tacos Contest is in action right now. To win, couples were asked to use Twitter or Instagram to submit a 30 second video or image that demonstrates why they should be the first couple to get married in the chapel. The prize? A fantasy package that includes “an officiant, wedding decor, a wedding cake, a reception for the winner, fiancé and guests with a catered dinner, and transportation to and from the hotel and chapel, a video/photographer package for wedding photos and wedding video, T-shirts , champagne flutes, a garter, and a bow tie”

And that’s not all: Winners also receive round-trip air transportation for five, three nights’ accommodations at Planet Hollywood, dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris, tickets to the Highroller at the LINQ, $100 to spend at Qua Bath & Spa, a pool cabana at Planet Hollywood, and a VIP table at Drai’s Night Club.

It’s no wonder, then, that Nguyen and fiancee Nick are going all out to win, and her dress is what she hopes will put their entry over the top. But, the caption of her Instagram entry must not be ignored. The woman loves a pun, and that’s worth rewarding in these difficult times.

“It’s time to spill the beans. We have been engaged for 4 years, and together for 10. Taco Bell has been there through the years, from the after school runs, to late meals after work (or a night of partying). Our love for each other is as cheesy as a quesadilla. We’re nachos getting married, it’s going to be a Las Vegas tacover. Lettuce celebrate our love at the Taco Bell Chapel in Vegas, cuz we are ready to guac and roll.”

This whole chapel thing isn’t a stunt that will restrict the joy of a Taco Bell wedding to the winning couple. Starting summer 2017, everyone can get in on the action for a mere $600. That’s only 172 Triple Double Crunchwraps or 216 7-Layer Burritos (gotta think about couples who are vegetarian). You know you’ve spent more than that at Taco Bell in the last year. The cost also includes the champagne flutes, bow tie, garter, and the same t-shirts the contest winners receive. So no one has to miss out on the sexy sauce pack garter being drunkenly yanked off and tossed to whooping men, which is the highlight of every wedding.
