The Mountain From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Visits Lions In South Africa Because They Like ‘Big Meat’

So before we head down the road of talking about The Mountain, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, visiting Lion Park in South Africa, we should note that this isn’t exactly the most favorable thing to do in the eyes of some people. There are views on Lion Park and places like it that disagree about the treatment of the lions and their interaction with people. There’s also some history with violent interactions between the animals and visitors, most notably with 29-year-old Katherine Chappell in June 2015.

That all said, I’ll let it slide for The Mountain to fool around with lions. Hell, let’s just get him out in the wild with a pride of lions. He’ll be their lord instantly and if he isn’t, he’ll just wrestle one into submission. Right?

If anything, I would take bets on The Mountain versus a lion. It would at least be a contest. And it would definitely be more controversial than the guy visiting Lion Park. Hopefully it makes you look up Lion Park and think about the consequences of keeping lions in a situation like this. It certainly did for me in the guise of talking about Game of Thrones gigantic zombie for a bit. We might not get to see him fight a lion, but he might end up taking on a Hound very soon.
