Of all the controversy regarding Caitlyn Jenner’s gender identity, this tidbit from Austin, Texas may be the most pressing to a large amount of people. Residents are having a hard time deciding whether Bruce Jenner Lane, a street named for the Olympian, should have its name changed to Caitlyn Jenner Lane out of respect for Jenner’s transition.

According to KVUE, tourists have been coming to take pictures of the Bruce Jenner Lane street sign and are asking residents whether the street name will stay the same. Residents told KVUE that while they have the utmost respect for Jenner, they’re worried that a name change will cause way more problems than good.

From KVUE:

“We just hope that someone is smart enough to realize all the trouble it’s going to cause for regular people if you change the name,” said homeowner Ray Briggs.

The hassle a name change would bring (imagine all the missing Amazon packages) may not stop someone from petitioning the city to take Jenner’s former name down, but at least half the residents on the street and the city council have to agree to the change before proceedings can even begin.

Residents of a street in El Paso, Texas are going through the same neighborhood crisis.
