Floyd Mayweather may not know who Nick Diaz is, but he certainly doesn’t agree with the five year suspension handed down to Diaz recently by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. In a video made by The Official Mayweather Boxing Channel, one of Floyd’s friends asks the newly retired boxing great what he thinks of the situation. After staring into nothing for a few seconds trying to figure out who this Dick Niaz character is, Floyd freaks out when he learns the guy got crushed hard over weed.
“Huh?” Mayweather asks in disbelief. “Man, let that man smoke weed and enjoy his life!”
You can add Mayweather to the growing list of people who think Nick’s suspension is ridiculous and unjust. Ronda Rousey made the most waves in defense of Diaz, going on a long rant against marijuana testing during a press event in Australia. But others who have spoken out in support include Katt Williams, Gina Carano, Joe Rogan, Chael Sonnen, and a bunch of active UFC fighters – some of whom have gone so far as to state they won’t compete in Nevada as a form of protest.
