Jennifer Lawrence is currently in Boston filming Joy with director David O. Russell, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro — much of the same team from 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook. According to TMZ, she and Russell got into an “ear-piercing” screaming match “laced with profanities” on set. The studio cited “method acting” as the reason for the screams, but the report stuck with the fight between the two.
Too bad nobody heard about it on Thursday, what with the internet raging about two escaped llamas and a multicolored dress. Despite the distractions, Lawrence made a rare appearance on social media to clear things up:
Touche, Jennifer. However, I’m still suspicious of her comments — not because I think there was a fight on set, but because no one is having a blast in Boston right now.
