There are a lot of exciting films dropping this summer. That said, when it comes to pure, hardcore, visceral action, it’s hard to imagine anything topping the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road. Directed by franchise creator George Miller, the new film stars Tom Hardy in the role made famous by Mel Gibson, as well as Charlize Theron in a supporting role.
Since the film’s first trailer, many have wondered just what it would be rated. Would it indeed go full R, or be watered down for the sake of an MPAA granted PG-13? Well, wonder no more as a decision has been made… and it’s the right one.
Mad Max: Fury Road is Rated R for intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images.
Welp, that about says everything one needs to hear. This film has a lot of expectations attached to it now. Hopefully it can deliver.
