It’s been a while since last we journeyed with Ethan Hunt and his team of IMF agents. After moving up to the summer in order to avoid the latest Star Wars film at the Christmas box-office, we are finally closer getting their return. This is spot our first look at the latest chapter in the Mission: Impossible franchise, as well as a title.

Based on this first TV spot, it doesn’t appear Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation will be treading the same ground as Ghost Protocol. What is very apparent, though, is this Mission: Impossible appears to have much more in line with classic espionage fair that we’ve seen in the past. The anti-IMF, the hand-offs, the seemingly dulled down color pallet, it all feels very Jack Ryan-esque. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays when the film hits theaters in July.
