About The Emotional ‘Furious 7’ Scene Everyone Is Talking (And Crying) About

Spoilers for Furious 7 below

When I saw Furious 7 during South by Southwest in March, the two guys sitting behind me, who earlier had been loudly ogling Nathalie Emmanuel’s butt, started crying during the tribute at the end of the film. Similarly, a friend who watched the movie this weekend in a “Paul Walker Over Everything” shirt obviously weeped; even the next morning, she told me that whenever she thought about PW, the tears started again. It seems like everyone is going to have a Furious 7 crying story, whether the tears falling fast and furious were yours, someone else’s, or both.

There’s no shame, either, because the cinematic memorial was handled about as well as it could have been. You’ve already read about how the filmmakers were able to finish the scenes that Walker couldn’t before he passed away in November 2013, now just about everyone has seen it for themselves.
