UPROXX 20: Todd Williams Has Many Questions About That Weird Hawaiian Punch Dude

Todd Williams is an actor perhaps best known for roles on USA’s In Plain Sight and Fox’s The Chicago Code. You may have also seen Williams on The Vampire Diaries, Bones, The Mentalist and Teen Wolf. Currently, he co-stars opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in San Andreas, which opens this week in theaters nationwide.

Todd was nice enough to take a few minutes out of his busy schedule recently to answer a few questions from us.

1. You walk into a bar. What do you order from the bartender?

Depends. Is the bartender a pretty woman? If so, then something sophisticated, smooth, and strong without being too overpowering. Otherwise, Shirley Temple, please, but the manly version. No damn cherry!

2. Who’s your favorite person to follow on Twitter or Instagram?

I’m heavy on IG right now. Don’t know if I have a favorite. Crime by Design, NASA, and Success.Mentor are a few that I really like.

3. What’s currently waiting for you on your DVR/TiVO?

Sons of Anarchy, Luther, and Daredevil.

4. It’s your last meal — what are you going out with?

Hmm. I‘m going to go with a little bit everything that I find delicious. Everything from Calamari to Sweet Potato Pie.

5. What websites do you visit on a regular basis?

Gmail is probably number one. I’ve been pretty random lately with the websites. I’ve been going on searches for questions that pop in my head. Everything from, “Is the expansion of the universe speeding up?” to “Can an ant fart?” I guess that would make the answer Google.

6. What’s the most frequently played song on your mobile device?

There’s this guy Mateusz M that makes dope motivational videos on YouTube. I burn them all to my phone and listen to them every day.

7. The first face that comes to mind when you think “punchable?”

The Hawaiian Punch dude. He was a weird little one, eh? Was that a hat on his head or his hair? And since when did juice from Hawaii have HFCS and sodium hexametaphosphate? It makes me want to punch him right now.

8. What’s the last thing you googled?

Hawaiian Punch ingredients.

9. Dogs or cats?

Depends. Are we talking domestic or wild? It’s very interesting. Domestic dogs are mostly stronger than domestic cats, but in the wild a pride of lions would beat the hell out of a pack of wolves. So, I guess I prefer domestic dogs and wild cats. Speaking of WildCats, you remember the movie of the same name starring Goldie Hawn back in the day?! I loved that movie! With Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson? Waaay before White Men Can’t Jump and Money Train. Wow, they’ve known each other for a long time… but I digress.

10. Best concert of your life was…?

My life is a concert. It’s like Coachella right after one of those delicious brownies. Aaaaall good.

11. What book are you most likely to give as a gift?

As A Man Thinketh by James Allen, Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, and The Truth About Money by Ric Edelman.

12. What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

Sex. Every time is like a really thoughtful Christmas gift.

13. South Park or Family Guy?

Avatar: The Last Airbender or Dragon Ball Z. Not the movies. They sucked.

14. You have an entire day to do whatever you want. What would you do?

That sounds like a trick question. I’m interpreting this as I have the superhuman power to do whatever I want within a 24-hour period. If that is indeed what you are asking, then I would first extend the day into three months, then teleport to different places around the world, pilot a space craft to Alpha Centauri (the one that I would find while teleporting through Area 51), and time travel (past AND future)… unless you meant something different. In which case I would chill with my family.

15. What movie can you not resist watching if it’s on?

Zoolander.

16. The sports team or teams you’re most passionate about?

Team Family.

17. Where did you eat the best meal of your life?

It was when I was still discovering Thai food (before Thai restaurants were everywhere). There was this spot in Soho called Peep. I was initially going to have just a main course but I ended up ordering damn near everything. The flavors were incredible. I don’t know who the chef was that day but he wasn’t playing around.

18. The last movie you saw in a theater?

Furious 7.

19. Who was your first celebrity crush?

Vanity. I’ll never forget. It was while watching The Last Dragon. Forget Bruce Leroy, I wanted her to teach ME some moves. (Gotta watch the film to get that.)

20. What would you cook if Nic Cage was coming to your house for dinner?

Not a damn thing. We’re going out for Manly Shirley Temples.
