A couple weeks ago, we shared a new photo from Ridley Scott’s film adaptation of Andy Weir’s 2012 novel The Martian. While the movie doesn’t yet have an official trailer, a video appeared earlier on Sunday on a new YouTube channel titled ARES: live.
Here we see Mark Watney (Matt Damon) giving us Earth dwellers a brief tour of the Ares 3. As a part of the tour, we are introduced to the members of his crew, which includes pilot Rick Martinez (Michael Peña), Commander Melissa Lewis (Jessica Chastain), Dr. Chris Beck (Sebastian Stan), German astronaut Aleks Vogel (Aksel Hennie), and computer expert Beth Johanssen (Kate Mara). If you keep a close eye on the screen, you’ll see some fun facts appear about each crew member.
The Martian also stars Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels, Mackenzie Davis, Sean Bean, Donald Glover, and Naomi Scott, and is set to make its theatrical departure on November 25, 2015.
