This Really Disturbing Fan Theory Will Make It Hard For You To Watch ‘Frozen’ Again

Thought Frozen was just a bit of good, clean fun suitable for the entire family? Think again. If the demented claim that Anna and Elsa were going to turn everyone into homosexuals didn’t stop you from letting your kids (or yourself) watch the Disney film, perhaps this fun, very bloody fan theory will get you to change your mind.

According to Hello Giggles—this is your last chance to not be disturbed—a redditor has figured something out that the rest of us haven’t: Kristoff is wearing Sven’s mother as a coat. Yeah, I know that sounds preposterous (unlike the story of a young woman who can build ice castles out of thin air), but it makes sense.

It actually makes a lot of sense:

I’m probably slow but have only just noticed that in Frozen, Kristoff’s coat is made from fur. And if you look closer at the pics the fur part seems to be reindeer. I don’t think it can be wolf cos the pelt is too big.

That makes it a bit awkward, tho, that Kristoff’s best friend is a reindeer and he’s actually wearing his skin. But in the context of the story, it all fits together. The ice harvesters must have killed Sven’s mother, leaving a baby Sven for Kristoff to look after, and giving him the pelt to wear. This explains why Sven is so close to Kristoff too, and why Kristoff still wears the same pelt. The smell reminds Sven of his mum :(

:( indeed. Of course, the only theory that’s been validated by the film’s director is this one, but this theory isn’t that far a stretch. Why can Kristoff talk to Sven? Why is Sven hella chill about Kristoff being kind of smelly? Why does it seem like the internet was only created for ruining the little joy any of us get out of children’s movies? Kids aren’t likely to notice this, sure, but once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it.

While the movie may be ruined for some, one Redditor offered up this optimistic view of the theory: “If I ever need to raise an orphan, I intend to make a coat out of its mother’s skin, so I guess this makes sense.”
