Bryan Singer Teases ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer On Instagram

As soon as news hit that the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse would be shown with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fan expectations are higher than ever for the next mutant installment. Director Bryan Singer decided to capitalize on that excitement by releasing a still from the upcoming trailer on his Instagram account, with the note that the final product would soon be complete.

Apocalypse will introduce younger versions of classic characters, like Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), and Angel (Ben Hardy), while also introducing Apocalypse himself (Oscar Isaac), Jubilee (Lana Condor) and Psylocke (Olivia Munn). Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) will lead the new crew against Magneto and Apocalypse. This installment will apparently wrap up the X-Men trilogy that began with First Class, but the stars haven’t ruled out returning for additional films. Either way, the film is sure to be another awesome outing for America’s favorite mutants.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters on May 27, 2016, so between that and Captain America: Civil War, expect next summer to be fully saturated with Marvel once again.
