‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Has A New TV Spot Boasting Even More New Footage

Star Wars fans have been worked up into a cheerfully nerdy lather over the new footage that’s tumbled out into the world and now there’s even more fresh glories to obsess over.

An official TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens had made its way online (an odd place for a TV spot) and it features loads of new stuff destined to be unpacked in every possible way. Driven by a Lupita Nyong’o voiceover, we get glimpses of Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Harrison Ford all doing Star Wars-y things. Once again, we’re presented with a welcome blend of reverence for the franchise’s history and the feeling that something new is about to happen.

“I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes,” says Nyong’o’s character Maz Kanata in this efficient sneak peek.

Looking for Mark Hamill? Sorry, he’s nowhere to be seen in this 30 second preview. You’re welcome to hold a Luke Skywalker figure up to the screen if you like. We won’t tell anyone. J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens is slated to premiere in Los Angeles on December 14 with the rest of America getting the film on December 18.
