The Newest ‘X-Men’ Poster Will Have You Trembling And Facing The Apocalypse

One of Marvel’s most feared supervillains channels Hamlet in the brand new poster for X-Men: Apocalypse. (That’s just fancy talk for saying the dude’s holding a skull.)

Plastered online by the film’s director Bryan Singer, this fresh slice of art for the latest cinematic installment features Apocalypse scoring the limelight in a decidedly ominous fashion. The film’s big bad holds a skull in the poster with the phrase “only the strong will survive” appearing above. Can strength be obtained through Apocalypse’s rigorous skulllifting routines? We’ll have to wait and see.

Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is the man tasked with bringing this colossal character to the big screen. He’s one of many notable names that make up the cast which also includes Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult and loads more “OH! THEY’RE IN THIS?” level talents. X-Men: Apocalypse marks the fourth film in the series directed by Bryan Singer and he also had a hand in the writing process.

Is this poster not enough to tide you over as you wait for May 27, 2016 to arrive? Why not give the trailer a gander, followed by some analysis, followed by even more analysis? Just let the soothing pre-blockbuster hysteria wash over you.
