In this exclusive clip from Terminator: Genisys, the authorities have apprehended Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator, which probably isn’t the best move on the part of those local authorities — one of whom happens to be brand new Oscar winner J.K. Simmons. But, wait are these police officers who they even say they are?
Terminator: Genisys serves as a sequel (it’s strongly hinted that this is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and a sort of reboot, as everything that once was has now been completely turned upside down by the time Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) travels back in time to, supposedly, save Sarah Connor.
Terminator: Genisys will be in theaters on July 1.
