Thor Isn’t Sure They’re Going To Win This One In The New ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Posters

After the group poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron came out last week, Robert Downey Jr. said a “big announcement” was coming and released the first of many character posters. Now that we’ve seen the Iron Man and Hulk posters, we also have three more posters with Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

In addition to the new posters, Marvel lifted the embargo on interviews Chris Hemsworth gave on the Avengers: Age of Ultron set last June. We’re guessing those interviews were embargoed for so long because Hemsworth revealed Hulk and Iron Man fight during the film. Now that the first trailer has revealed as much, the secret is out.

One of the interviews — with /film — caught our attention with this quote from Hemsworth:

“I think [Thor] openly admits, ‘I don’t think we’re going to win this one.’ The threat is so great that I think all of them are sort of scratching their heads going, ‘Is this it?’ rather than, ‘Okay, we have to kill this many things.’ It’s just an onslaught and it doesn’t stop. It’s sort of an open sort of floodgate and what it could also set in motion is an even bigger threat. I think that’s what’s Thor’s kind of stuck on or where his attention certainly is, an even bigger picture of Thor being from Asgard. He can just say, ‘Hang on, there’s a whole universe here which is signaling something else.'”

Well, at least they’ll look fabulous while dealing with that onslaught, with Thor putting on the gun show and Black Widow going full-on Tron.
