‘Batman V Superman’ Drops A Huge Image Gallery And Intense Featurette

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is opening in only nine days, so Warner is continuing the marketing push with a huge batch of photos and a featurette which includes mostly repeat footage, although there is an interesting bit where Batman informs Superman, “You’re not brave. Men are brave.

The featurette was uploaded to YouTube by Doritos. Yes, Batman V Superman still has that tie-in with Doritos — ¯_(ツ)_/¯ — because Zack Snyder knows how to make back his budget in corporate sponsorships before the movie even hits theaters. Or at least that was the case with Man of Steel. We don’t know what the balance sheet is looking like, although Deadline reports Batman V Superman is racking up advance ticket sales greater than Deadpool, The Avengers, and Furious 7 made at the same point before release. While we last heard the movie might open at up to $140 million, Deadline is now projecting it may match the $160 million domestic opening of The Dark Knight Rises and set a record for an Easter weekend domestic debut and for a movie released in April.

The new photos are high-res and visually interesting, although there don’t seem to be many plot points or scenes we haven’t already seen in trailers and TV spots. It’s worth noting the empty seat in the front row in this picture is reserved for Mr. Lex Luthor, and that’s his assistant/trained killer, Mercy Graves (Tao Okamoto), sitting next to the reserved seat and watching the door.

It’s also worth noting Batman seems pretty mad, you guys.

MAAAAAAKE OUUUUUUT.
