Ben Affleck Claims His Amazing And Terrible Back Tattoo Is Fake

Ben Affleck’s obscenely large back tattoo is fake. Our long national nightmare is over.

While continuing on the long, long, looooooooong press tour to promote Batman v Superman, Affleck (who is playing Batman, ya heard?) confessed to Extra’s Mario Lopez that the huge tat, seen while Affleck was shooting his next directorial effort Live By Night, isn’t real.

“I actually do have a number of tattoos,” Affleck confessed. “But I try to have them in places where you don’t have to do a lot of cover up. They get sort of addictive, tattoos, after awhile.”

In other pressing news from Affleck’s interview with the former A.C. Slater, for which he was joined by Superman himself, Henry Cavill, both actors revealed that they wore their costumes away from the set. Affleck, who had previously told his story to Jimmy Kimmel, wore his to his son Sam’s birthday party, while Cavill wore the Superman outfit into Times Square in New York as “a social experiment.”

Since you probably don’t know this, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on Friday. The small, indie-ish feature may not be around long so don’t wait – make sure you get out and get those tickets, and cross your fingers we get more Affleck tattoo updates soon.
