Bryan Cranston Gets Blacklisted In The First Trailer For ‘Trumbo’

It’s almost been two years since Breaking Bad ended its five-season run, and since hanging up the Walter White hat, Bryan Cranston has continued a pretty steady career on both stage and screen. His latest movie role may just be the one that finally earns the actor an Oscar nomination.

On Wednesday, Fandango shared the first trailer for Trumbo with the world. The film — directed by Jay Roach — explores the true story of Dalton Trumbo, acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter of the ’40s and ’50s who was eventually blacklisted for being a communist. Forced into seclusion, Trumbo continued clacking away on his trusty old typewriter and hammered out a bunch of successful movies under a pseudonym. As “Robert Rich,” the man even won an Academy Award for 1956’s The Brave One.

Trumbo also stars Elle Fanning, Diane Lane, Helen Mirren, Louis C.K., and John Goodman. The flick is set to hit theaters on November 6.
