Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong will be joining the cast of Melissa McCarthy’s new comedy Michelle Darnell. Scheduled for an April 2016 release, the film will be directed by McCarthy’s husband and long-time collaborator Ben Falcone.

Currently, the cast also includes Kathy Bates, Peter Dinklage, Kristen Bell, Annie Mumolo, Kristen Schaal, and Margo Martindale:

McCarthy plays a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget. McCarthy created the character and wrote the script with Falcone and their Groundlings collaborator Steve Mallory.

Strong recently hosted the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, and her film The Bronze is scheduled for release on July 10th, 2015. She will also play a key role in Paul Feig’s upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, which she is also co-starring in with McCarthy.
