Fox’s X-Men spin-off Gambit is still scheduled to open October 7 of next year, so they need to find a director soon. Director Rupert Wyatt recently dropped out of the project amid rumors that his vision clashed with the studio’s.
But according to The Wrap‘s Jeff Sneider, producer/leading actor Channing Tatum already has a replacement director in mind. Tatum has reportedly been courting Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) to helm Gambit (or to shake a camera too much in Gambit‘s general direction).
True that Channing Tatum has been courting Doug Liman to direct GAMBIT. We'll see if he goes for it though…
