Dan Aykroyd Gives The New ‘Ghostbusters’ A Seal Of Approval Above Even The Original Films

If you aren’t a fan of the new Ghostbusters, you aren’t likely to enjoy what Dan Aykroyd had to say after watching a test screening of the new film. If you love the idea of a new Ghostbusters, it’s a pleasure to meet you and welcome to the site.

Aykroyd posted his thoughts on his Facebook page, dropping a huge amount of praise on the new film. There’s a even a little bit of a hit at the many detractors out there who insist that this movie is the worst thing to happen since New Coke.

Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first two films, plus Bill Murray is in it!

Now I’ll be the first to say that this sounds like a statement made by a PR department, but the whole controversy over the new Ghostbusters film is pretty ridiculous to start. Aykroyd has already given the new cast and story praise a few months back, though, so his sentiment isn’t new. It just has that prepared quality to it.

You can check out the full statement below, complete with Aykroyd saying he’s actually going to pay to go see the movie. Kinda like taking money out of one pocket and putting it in another, isn’t it?
