Watch Daniel Craig Refuse To Pout In This ‘Spectre’ Interview

It’s Daniel Craig’s second-to-last James Bond movie, and he just doesn’t care to play along at all with the inane press tour that he’s obligated to participate in. He’s previously said that playing Bond after Spectre makes him want to slash his wrists, and spoke candidly about the franchise’s misogyny (which is actually a pretty smart and interesting answer). Now he’s refused a reporter’s request that he do the famous “Daniel Craig pout” for her.

“You know what I’m talking about?” the reporter asks Craig, after she brings it up. “Not really, no,” Craig says politely. Before adding a bewildered, “Is that what it looks like?” when the interviewer tries to show him off-screen.

“Yeah, go on, show me it, show me it,” she says, thinking that she’s won the news cycle for today, until Craig shoots back with an emphatic, “No.”

It doesn’t end there: “Go on, go on. Do me a little pout. You know when he rolls over, and he’s like–”

“I think you need to move on,” Craig says, shutting the conversation down with James Bond’s trademark efficiency.

The only way this would’ve been more entertaining is if the reporter he was refusing was Jimmy Fallon. Then it would be clear that Daniel Craig pouts for no one, not even Late Night’s king of making celebrities do whacky things for internet relevance.
