Danny Elfman Will Contribute To The Score Of ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

If you’ve fallen asleep to the sound of the Avengers theme on the Blu-ray’s menu screen, this news will probably make you pretty happy. Alan Silvestri, the composer who scored The Avengers, has handed his baton over to Brian Tyler, who scored Marvel‘s Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World. But a very recognizable name will adapt the original theme for Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Danny Elfman, famous for writing music for everything from Tim Burton’s Batman movies to The Simpsons to Army of Darkness (believe it), will take on the theme and update it for the sequel. You’ll be able to hear that when the movie opens on May 1, but if you need a superpowered refresher, here is the original theme:
