Ellen DeGeneres Looks For Her Family In The ‘Finding Dory’ Trailer

There have been sequels to Pixar movies before, some better (Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3) than others (Cars 2), but never a spinoff. Unfortunately for Mrs. Nesbitt, that honor will go to Finding Dory, which follows the titular fish, pleasantly voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, as she remembers that she has a family and travels to, well, find them. It sounds similar to Finding Nemo, except this time, Marlin and Nemo are along for the ride, not the other way around.

The film — which employs 2-D animation for flashbacks set at the Marine Biology Institute of California — is set six months after the events of the original, and Andrew Stanton returns as writer and director. Besides DeGeneres and Albert Brooks, the rest of the aquatic characters are voiced by Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ty Burrell, Kaitlin Olson, Dominic West and Idris Elba, because if there’s one thing children love, it’s The Wire reunions.

Finding Dory is due out June 17, 2016, though if you have kids, you knew that already. Little punks have been screaming “just keep swimming” for months.
