Almost two years after its premiere at AFI Fest, Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno has an official release date. The above teaser premiered at Comic-Con this week and marks the return of Roth to the director’s chair after a sizable hiatus since Hostel: Part II. The above clip may just be 30 seconds but what is being teased here is some balls-to-the-wall Cannibal Holocaust type stuff. All this happens just because a few college students take it upon themselves to help save the rainforest. Go figure.
As someone who has seen the movie, I can attest to the lengths The Green Inferno went with its violence and gore. The movie, set to finally open on September 25th, stars Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Sky Ferreira, Daryl Sabara, and Aaron Burns.
