In case he doesn’t look familiar to you, this is Billy Unger, the 19-year old star of Disney XD’s Lab Rats. We’re talking about him because both he and Marvel have dropped a couple of cryptic hints about the former’s involvement in the upcoming Spider-Man movie and his introductory appearance in the Civil War storyline, set to kick off in Captain America: Civil War. Here’s why everyone’s spidey senses are tingling:

First, what would Unger be doing at the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere, other than Disney’s connection with Marvel? That’s one good explanation, but here are two more things that look a little suspicious, courtesy of social media. First, here is what Unger posted on Instagram on April 14th:

But one look at his Twitter feed and it appears to be a campaign to get the part more than anything; he is definitely a die-hard fan of the character, and his Twitter activity really ramped up after the premiere. Here is what he posted on April 25th:

And also this:

Unger definitely fits the bill compared to the other actors on the list of possible Peter Parkers (J. Jonah Jameson would be so proud of that alliteration, amirite?), but is he even on that list? Comic Book Movie points out that Marvel is notorious for presenting a list of possible actors and then going with someone they never mentioned once. But if we’re going by the Grand Poobahs at Marvel, let’s look at this bit of evidence from their Twitter coverage of the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere:

An autographed shot of Billy Unger??? What does it mean?? It could mean nothing. It could mean everything. We will just have to wait another two to three weeks until an official announcement. Or an unofficial leak that not even Spidey could plug with his web shooters.
