Matthew Vaughn Is Currently Writing The Sequel To ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’

Earlier in the year, Kingsman: The Secret Service surprised pretty much everyone in theatrical attendance by being one badass action film. With its almost immediate success, rumors of a sequel began to circulate as they usually do in Hollywood. I don’t know about you, but I’d welcome a sequel to Kingsman with open arms.

Now, it looks like we may be one step closer to this becoming a reality as writer/director Matthew Vaughn has confirmed with Yahoo! Movies that he is currently working on the script:

Well, the good news is that I’m writing it next door at the moment. If I think I can get the script good enough, then we are making it. We are doing our damndest to make that happen.

Whether or not Vaughn will return as director on the possible project remains to be seen. While he has made a habit of not returning to helm the sequels to movies like Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class, Matthew Vaughn says there is a possibility he will go against expectations with Kingsman 2 as he loves these characters so damn much.

Matthew Vaughn really loves getting involved in cool sounding projects. Whilst he puts together a worthy sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service, the man is also going to direct the remake of Flash Gordon.

Now I wonder, which movie will see the light of day first? Place your bets!
