Maggie From ‘The Walking Dead’ Joins The Cast Of The Tupac Biopic

Most key Game of Thrones cast members have had substantial roles in Hollywood blockbusters. Peter Dinklage and Sophie Turner in X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse. Emilia Clarke in Terminator Genisys. Lena Headey in 300: Rise of an Empire. Kit Harrington in Pompeii, which technically counts as a movie. Meanwhile, the leading man on TV’s other biggest show, The Walking Dead‘s Andrew Lincoln, hasn’t appeared in any movie since 2010.

Some believe this is because the characters on Game of Thrones are “made to be extremely attractive and sexy,” while everyone on The Walking Dead is always covered in guts and blood. Others (me) think it’s because Rick Grimes & Co. have all been waiting to star in the same film together. The Tupac biopic All Eyez on Me first cast Michonne to play the late rapper’s mom; now Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie (poor, poor Maggie), has signed on, too.

The Walking Dead‘s Lauren Cohan has joined the cast of the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me where she will play Leila Steinberg, a key figure in the young rapper’s life. Steinberg was only 25 years old when she met the 17 year-old rapper Shakur who came to one of her workshops where she mentors kids to use their talent to make their lives better. She knew instantly that he was a different kind of talent and started working with him. (Via)

We’ll know my theory is true if producers replace Demetrius Shipp Jr. with the kid who plays Carl.
