The Lonely Island Drops Two New Tracks Ahead Of ‘Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping’

If you haven’t noticed – and judging by the follower count, you haven’t – Andy Samberg or a very creative Lonely Island intern has launched a Twitter account for Conner4Real, the lead character in the highly-anticipated summer comedy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. The latest effort from The Lonely Island – Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone – is a mockumentary about a Justin Bieber-esque pop star (obviously) who lives an absurd life of excess and general stupidity, and the Twitter account has been treating fans to mostly ridiculous images of the imaginary music artist, including the above shot of Conner4Real with his pet turtle, Maxmus.

Most importantly, Conner has been teasing some new Lonely Island tracks from the film, including “I’m So Humble,” which features Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, and “Mona Lisa,” which features lyrics about Garbage Pail Kids, so it’s automatically really good.

Today, those singles officially dropped, as the cool kids say, and are available on iTunes. If you’re not sold on the teasers, EW has some additional song clips available, but if you have Apple Music, you’ve probably already listened to both songs and are ready for the rest of the soundtrack. Honestly, you’re a little too impatient lately, and you just need to relax.

Popstar hits theaters on June 3 and presumably features more celebrity cameos than Entourage and Entourage 2: Even More Entouraging combined.
