We’re well aware that there is going to be an eighth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. The latest movie is breaking records left and right, making it a “when” type situation. Vin Diesel has already jokingly spilled a few details, but now Ludacris is teasing a possible role in the new film via his Facebook page:
Could Ludacris rejoin his former 2 Fast 2 Furious co-star Eva Mendes in a new beginning for the franchise? We know how much Ludacris’ career owes to the Fast films, so it’s not a shock he’d want to hitch himself to the name and ride it until it crashes into the ground. Also, you can tell a lot of people are for another movie. Just peek through the comments on that post for a moment.
So despite the tragic loss of Paul Walker, it would seem that the franchise will go on and on. It might not reach these heights again, but you never know. There’s probably money left to print and tributes left to make.
