Matt Bomer Answers A Ridiculous Question About Gay Stereotypes In The Most Angelic Way

Matt Bomer and Donald Glover are still on the promotional trail for the international releases of Magic Mike XXL. During its North American opening weekend, the film boasted a not-surprising 96% female audience. One reporter, Hola Hollywood’s Dulce Osuna, zeroed in on the 4% male audience during her interview with the two stars. Never mind that some of the men who saw the movie accompanied their wives in exchange for a subsequent Ant-Man date. Osuna only had one specific stereotype in mind.

Osuna zeroed in on the openly gay Bomer with a generalization: “This is a movie to please woman, but also the gay community. Are they harder to please?” Bomer wasn’t rattled:

“I don’t know. Why would I ever try to boil down an entire community into a yes-or-no question? Would you feel comfortable if I said ‘Are women harder or easier to please?’ One of the things, I think, you learn from this movie is that everyone is different. It’s all about communication and a dialogue between individuals – get rid of the labels, get rid of the shame, get rid of the stigmas and just be your most authentic self.”

Bomer politely dealt with this reporter’s silly question and delivered a swift lesson without talking down to his interrogator. See, this is why Matt Bomer’s fans refer to him as “an angel.”
