‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Reportedly In Development Before ‘Rogue Nation’ Even Comes Out

Hollywood is officially head over heels in love with franchises. If you’re a studio head, there’s no better way to keep that head on your shoulders than to have a couple of strong properties that will deliver the goods.

So, it shouldn’t be surprising that Paramount is already working on Mission: Impossible 6 a month before Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation hits theaters on July 31, 2015. At least that’s the rumor, according to /Film:

A new report has surfaced saying Paramount Pictures is already developing Mission: Impossible 6. At this time, no cast members are officially set to return for the sequel, but Tom Cruise will again be producing along with David Ellison and Dana Goldberg at Skydance Productions and J.J. Abrams at Bad Robot.

What’s clear is that as long as people are willing to see action blockbusters with familiar names, the studio will continue to pump out Mission: Impossible sequels. And as long as there are things left for Tom Cruise to hang from, you know he’ll keep coming back.
