The Interview will begin streaming on Netflix before the end of this month, but as is custom the streaming service has to make room for new titles with its monthly purge. Batman and James Bond are two major film franchises that will see their numbers dwindle, and if your little ones have not caught up on My Little Pony yet, now’s the time to plop them in front of the telly before the fictitious creatures ride off into the sunset. Here’s the full list of all the titles that will be leaving Netflix in the month of February.
Dredd
Sylvester Stallone’s Judge Dredd was so terrible that it was hard to see a way that any Dredd film could work in its wake, but Pete Travis and screenwriter Alex Garland delivered a high-octane thrill ride that was much better than expected.
Batman Returns
It’s the film that got Tim Burton canned from the franchise, but the director’s follow-up to his successful Batman debut remains a dark and exciting entry in the series with Danny DeVito playing a perfectly devilish Penguin.
MI-5
If you liked 24 but subsequent viewings of the hit series remind you that the show’s logic was shoddy at best, then check out MI-5 (nominated for 6 BAFTA awards for best drama series) before its 10 seasons are pulled from streaming.
Mad Max
The fourth Mad Max movie, Fury Road, hits theaters this year, but before it’s released check out the film that started the dystopian series as well as Mel Gibson’s career.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Steve Martin and Michael Caine play gentlemen rivals in this comedy that sees their characters contest to see who can con a woman out of her money first. The gags, many of which center around Martin pretending to be a wheelchair bound war veteran, are just as funny today as they were in 1988.
