Rebel Wilson Feels ‘Really Lucky’ To Have A Body Type That’s Unique In Hollywood

Rebel Wilson is known for her strong opinions, both on serious subjects like gun control and frivolous ones like the Kardashian family. Her own acting career continues to soar to great heights, although she never did nab the Ghostbusters role she said she’d do for free. Perhaps this was a matter of scheduling, or maybe there’s a secret cameo on the way.

Rebel often comes under fire, which sometimes happens by her own hand. The press tends to pounce whenever they catch someone in a half-truth, such as the time when Rebel shaved a few years off her age (and then the digging found a few more lies). Ultimately, Rebel only wants to make people laugh, and she’s not concerned about matters like body type. In fact, Rebel tells Cosmopolitan UK how her body helped jump start her career stateside:

”Being unique and different was a really good thing. When I walked into my agent’s office for the first time [in 2009], they looked at me and said, ‘Wow, we have nobody on our books like you.’ And they signed me on my second day here. I wouldn’t ever want to compete with what I call ‘the glamours’ – the really gorgeous people. I’m about the brain, the heart and what’s on the inside. I feel really lucky to be the body type I am.”

Rebel admits she uses food as “comfort” and a way to control stress, but she does not do drugs or drink, so “eating is my one vice.” Then she says something even more incendiary. Rebel loves to throw barbecue parties with the “naturally hilarious” Jennifer Lawrence, which means we’re not too far away from jet-ski and yacht parties featuring Lawrence, Wilson, and Amy Schumer. Can the internet handle the trio together?
