Rupert Grint Just Broke The Hearts Of Millions Of ‘Harry Potter’ Fans

Don’t let all the wizards and magic and sh*t fool you. Depression is real in the Harry Potter universe. Take Ron Weasley, for instance. He came from a tight-knit, but poor family. Now, he’s married to the super-smart and lovely Hermione and presumably has all the money in the world, thanks to being best friends with a very famous wizard, but deep down, he’s miserable. Raising two kids, Rose and Hugo, is too much for him. So one day, Ron just leaves. No note, no nothing. He Floo Powders away, and never returns.

But don’t take my word for it. Here’s Rupert Grint.

“I would expect Ron has probably divorced Hermione already. I don’t think that relationship would have done very well. He’s living on his own, in a little one-bedroom apartment. He hasn’t got a job.”

That would explain why he didn’t enjoy kissing Emma Watson.

Ron is Kirk Van Houten from The Simpsons. He proudly drinks beer in the bathroom of his sad apartment, where he doesn’t have anyone to share his race car bed with. This is no ordinary race car bed, though. It’s a Flying Ford Anglia bed, which, in the Potterverse, is actually pretty normal. Ron just can’t catch a break. Magic won’t bring back your wilted house plant, or Hermione.
